📚 World Book and Copyright Day | Read with Careful Eyes

23 April is the World Book and Copyright Day - a tribute to reading, creativity and the fundamental role that books play in building knowledge, culture and imagination. Reading is more than an intellectual act: it's a sensory experience, a journey that begins with the eyes and continues through the mind.

On this special day, as well as celebrating authors, publishers and readers, we also want to highlight something that is often forgotten but essential: the importance of taking care of our visual health so that we can fully enjoy the pleasure of reading.

👁️‍🗨️See well to read better

Visual comfort is an essential part of the reading experience. When we don't use appropriate means of visual correction - such as glasses, contact lenses or other devices recommended by eye care professionals - we run the risk of turning reading into an effort rather than a pleasure. Eye fatigue, headaches and difficulty concentrating are just some of the warning signs.

In ProopticaWe believe that vision is one of the greatest allies of knowledge. That's why we promote the importance of regular visual assessment and the correct use of optical solutions, adapted to each person's needs. Because seeing well is essential for reading well - and reading well is essential for learning, growing and imagining.

📖 Copyright and respect for creation

This day also serves as a reminder that, just as we must take care of our eyesight, we must also respect the creative vision of the authors. Copyright ensures that those who write, illustrate, translate and edit are recognised and valued for their work. After all, every page you read is the result of many hours of dedication and talent.

On World Book Day, our invitation is simple:
✨ Pick up a good book.
🕶️Use your visual correction, if necessary.
📚 Respect the person who wrote it.
And immerse yourself in a good story - with your eyes and heart wide open.
