💙 Prooptica and Prolente in solidarity action at the Brejão Socio-Cultural Centre 💙
Recently Prooptica and the Prolente participated in a solidarity action in Brejão Socio-Cultural Centre, in which visual assessment consultations were carried out with the population, in partnership with the Amália Rodrigues Foundation and the Odemira Town Council.
O Brejão is a land full of meaning - this is where Amália Rodrigues lived a large part of his life and where he left a deep mark of love and generosity. The artist sponsored the Brejão Socio-Cultural Centre, It is an institution that continues to honour its values of proximity, culture and solidarity. Inspired by this legacy, we wanted to continue its example by taking a gesture of solidarity to the community. care, empathy and social commitment. 🌿
During the initiative, we carried out visual assessment consultations to the local population, with the aim of identifying vision difficulties and raising awareness of the importance of the regular monitoring of eye health. Often, small visual pathologies go unnoticed and, when left untreated, can significantly affect well-being and quality of life.
These actions are a way of reaching those who need it most, reinforcing the mission of Prooptica and Prolente in promote access to visual health in an inclusive and supportive manner. For us, taking care of sight is also taking care of people. 💙
One special thanks to the Amália Rodrigues Foundation and Odemira Town Council for trusting us to embrace this initiative of great social relevance, and to expert Rui Teixeira, from Prolente, for their dedication and professionalism, which were essential to the success of this action.
In Prooptica and Prolente, we believe that to see better is to live better - and that true vision lies in looking at others with empathy, respect and solidarity.
