Prooptica organises vision screening charity event
In October 2021 Prooptica signed a Cooperation Protocol with the Brejão Cultural Centre as part of a strong policy of social responsibility that we have been pursuing for several years with various institutions that support people at risk.
This protocol provides for visual diagnostic screenings that are the result of a partnership with Amália Rodrigues Foundation and aim to fulfil the wishes of Mrs Amália Rodrigues, who, in her will, expressed her desire for the Amália Foundation to support charitable causes in the municipality with which she had strong relations.
Today Prooptica carried out another visual diagnosis screening as part of this co-operation protocol, which includes offering lenses and frames to residents at socio-economic risk in the municipality of Odemira.
Prooptica had the kind co-operation of Prolente which, in the person of Dr Rui Teixeira, today carried out more than 25 screening appointments and provided all the necessary technical equipment, to whom we extend a special thank you.

For the CEO of Prooptica, Luis Justino, This initiative fulfils Prooptica's goal of "helping to create a vibrant, demanding civil society that builds the country we aspire to be".
