Prooptica signs cooperation protocol with Lar de Betânia
Proóptica has always been concerned with social causes that support the everyday needs of millions of people around the world. As part of our social responsibility policy, for several years we have been co-operating with various institutions that support children and young people in situations of risk.
On 2 February, Prooptica signed a Cooperation Protocol with the Betânia Home.
O Bethany Home Lar de Betânia is a Private Social Solidarity Institution, created on 18 April 1965, which provides residential care for children and young people removed from situations of danger and/or without adequate family support.
This institution seeks to develop residential care, guaranteeing residents access to education, health, integral development and integration into society. Thus, children and young people have access to accommodation, food, hygiene and body care, health care (consultations, medication, etc.), specialised support (academic, psychological, therapeutic, etc.), clothing, transport, school attendance, support in purchasing goods and services and moments of leisure and rest.

For the CEO of Prooptica, Luis Justino, it is of the utmost importance that companies mobilise to help organisations and projects that contribute to the eradication of poverty and to human and sustainable development.
