Throttleman Eyewear | What to expect from the new Portuguese fashion collection?

In 2022 Prooptica strengthens its commitment to Portuguese fashion with the integration of Throttleman eyewear in the segment Essentials of your eyewear portfolio.

The Throttleman eyewear collection thus joins other renowned textile brands in Portugal, such as Lanidor, Quebramar and Dielmar, lines with a totally Portuguese DNA that have become extremely important in the product range of national opticians.

The integration of the Throttleman eyewear line not only reinforces Prooptica's strategic commitment to differentiation in the market, but essentially complements its increasingly segmented offer in line with its needs.

About Throttleman eyewear

Created in 1991 as a textile brand, Throttleman is a paradigm of success in the men's and women's clothing category.

It is characterised by a practical, relaxed lifestyle, aimed at all those who do not dispense with comfort. It prioritises not only the quality of the products and materials, but also the richness of the finishing details, in order to provide a high comfort-durability ratio.

With a focus on the customer, Throttleman's motto is "Feel Good, Have Fun", which means making people feel good about themselves, have fun and express their emotions through the clothes they wear. This translates into a collection where we find elegance and sophistication adaptable to everyday life and a funnier line, with colourful and amusing illustrations that create an emotional bond with customers.

In 2017 it joined the Lanidor group, which also owns Globe, Casa Batalha and Pablo Fuster.

The Throttleman eyewear collection will feature 20 frame models and 4 sun models, with a stylish "easy to wear" totally designed and produced with the brand's values and standards in mind. Earth tones, colour combinations and absolutely comfortable shapes were the motto for creating this collection.

For the CEO of Prooptica, Luis Justino, "The launch of Throttleman eyewear in 2022 not only represents the reinforcement of Prooptica's strategic commitment to national fashion and Portuguese-designed eyewear, but it will also provide opticians with an excellent price/quality opportunity that will allow for very interesting profitability within the segments we work in."
